Born From a Really Bad Tuesday

It started on a Tuesday. The kind of Tuesday where everything hurts, your jeans feel like a personal attack, and the only thing standing between you and a full meltdown is a bag of whatever's in the back of the cabinet. For our founder, that Tuesday became a turning point.

She'd been dealing with brutal PMS for years — the bloating, the cramps, the mood swings that made her feel like a stranger in her own body. She'd tried the supplements, the heating pads, the herbal teas. Some things helped. Most things didn't. But the one thing she kept coming back to? Food. Not because it fixed everything, but because eating something that actually tasted good — something that felt like a small, intentional kindness to herself — made the worst days a little more bearable.

What if snacking wasn't just eating to get through the day — but eating to actually support the day?

That question became an obsession. She started researching the connection between nutrition and menstrual health. She talked to nutritionists, read study after study, and experimented with recipe after recipe in her kitchen. What she found was both obvious and revolutionary: the foods we crave during our cycles aren't random. They're signals. Our bodies are asking for specific nutrients — magnesium to ease cramps, iron to replace what we lose, B6 to stabilize mood, omega-3s to reduce inflammation. The cravings make biological sense. We just needed snacks that could actually answer them.

From kitchen experiments to a real brand

The first version of what became PMS Pantry was just a collection of homemade snacks she'd bring to work on her worst days. Her coworkers started asking for some. Then their friends started asking. Then strangers on the internet started asking after she shared a recipe online. It turned out she wasn't the only one who'd been eating her way through her cycle and wishing the options were better.

Building PMS Pantry from those kitchen experiments into a real product line took two years of development, a lot of failed batches, and more conversations with women about their periods than most people have in a lifetime. Every product in our current lineup went through months of testing — not just for taste, but for actual nutritional benefit. We worked with food scientists and nutritionists to make sure the nutrients weren't just listed on the label but were actually bioavailable, meaning your body can absorb and use them.

Every PMS Pantry snack is built around a specific nutritional goal — not just a flavor profile. The taste is the bonus. The function is the point.

What we stand for

We believe that taking care of yourself during your cycle shouldn't require a prescription, a $200 supplement stack, or suffering through foods that taste like cardboard. We believe that pleasure and function can coexist — that a piece of dark chocolate can both satisfy your soul and deliver real magnesium to your muscles.

We believe your cravings deserve to be taken seriously. Not dismissed, not judged, not swapped for a green juice. Listened to. Because your body is smarter than anyone gives it credit for.

And we believe that the experience of having a menstrual cycle — all of it, including the hard parts — is worth building a whole brand around. Not as a niche, not as a punchline, but as something that deserves real products, real thought, and real care.

That's PMS Pantry. Born from a bad Tuesday, built for every Tuesday after it.
